Privacy Policy

TSUCAVA SCORM Converter (the “Service”) helps you convert MP4 videos (Free) and PDFs/PowerPoints (Pro) into SCORM packages for your learning management system (“LMS”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Summary
- Uploads are temporary: uploaded files and generated SCORM ZIPs are retained only for a short period (typically 12 hours for Free accounts, 48 hours for Pro accounts, and 5 days for Studio accounts) and then deleted.
- Payments are handled by Stripe: we do not store full payment card details on our servers.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Account information
When you register or use the Service, we collect information such as your email address, name (if provided), and basic account metadata. Passwords are stored as salted hashes (we never store plaintext passwords).
Uploaded content
The Service processes the files you upload and generates SCORM ZIP packages. The files you upload and the resulting output are your content.
Usage and technical information
We may collect technical and usage information such as IP address, device and browser information, timestamps, request logs, and diagnostic data (for example, conversion errors). We use this information to operate the Service, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
Payment information
If you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by Stripe. We store Stripe customer/subscription identifiers and plan status so we can manage entitlements. Stripe may collect additional payment and billing information directly from you.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may also use cookies or similar technologies for security (for example, fraud prevention) and to keep the Service functioning. We do not use cookies to sell your data or to run third-party ad targeting.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the Service (upload, conversion, download, and account features).
- To process payments and manage subscriptions (via Stripe).
- To maintain security, detect abuse, and enforce plan limits and retention policies.
- To provide support and respond to requests.
- To improve performance, reliability, and product features.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
How we share information
We may share information in the following ways:
- Service providers: with vendors who help us run the Service (for example, hosting, email delivery, and payment processing). These vendors are authorized to process information only as needed to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety: when required by law or to protect the Service, our users, or the public (for example, to respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or address security incidents).
- Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Retention and deletion
Uploaded files and generated SCORM packages are retained only for the retention window shown in the app (typically 12 hours for Free accounts, 48 hours for Pro accounts, and 5 days for Studio accounts) and are then deleted. We may delete files sooner if required for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or operational reasons.
Account information and basic metadata (for example, job records without files) may be retained longer to operate the Service, maintain audit/security logs, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
Security
We take reasonable measures designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for using a secure device and network when accessing the Service.
Your choices and rights
- You can update certain account information in the app settings.
- You can delete jobs from the dashboard to remove files sooner (when available).
- You may request account deletion by contacting us.
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information (for example, access, correction, deletion, or objection). We will honor applicable legal requirements.
Not for sensitive personal data
Do not upload sensitive personal information (for example, government IDs, financial account numbers, health information, or other regulated data) unless you have a lawful basis and you understand the risks. The Service is not intended to store or process protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA.
